Gia Rosa Beading and Jewelry  Design Classes

In each class you will learn a specific technique and work on a specific project. Classes are scheduled on a monthly basis, are typically one-session of 2 – 6 hours in duration, and occasionally run in two-sessions. Classes cover beading techniques, glass bead making, knitting and fiber arts. I focus on building blocks of techniques so that my students will feel successful and confident when they work on their own. I also make sure they have a great time and get to play creatively.

The first hour is generally spent with you pulling your beads together and mapping out your project. I’ve often heard that this is a difficult stitch to learn from a book.  In a class, it is extremely simple!   This stitch has also been referred to as the "African Stitch".  You may combine multiple sizes and shapes of beads very easily.  The piece worked on in class will be for a flat bracelet which can serve as a great support for showcasing lampwork beads and is also beautiful by itself!
